I’ve been teaching yoga since 2003, in many cities and multiple countries. My beginnings started with rigorous hot yoga, and the study of the 84 posture sequence of Bishnu Gosh. These practices were my entry into the yoga lifestyle, and my foundation in which I have grown from. Through the years I’ve been called to learn, practice, and teach other styles of yoga, movement practices and meditation. This includes; Classic Hatha, Qoya, Sound Healing, Aerial Yoga, and specifically working with crystals for meditation. Since 2010, I have elevated my offerings as teacher at renowned wellness resorts, Travaasa and Miraval. My teaching style is intuitive, leading by feeling into the moment.

Through my years of working with clients one on one to develop and cultivate their yoga and meditation practice, I have witnessed myself working as instinctively as a guide for deeper life work. In 2015, I officially trained as a lifestyle coach to further my skills and serve as a mentor to continue to assist others along the path of overall wellness. I am here to be a good listener, and reflect back to others their truest truths.

My personal life is infused with prayer and sweet, sacred rituals. Through teaching and self practice, I nourish myself, and I am reminded of my presence of essence and the divine light that exists in me, and all of us. These are the enlightening practices that I wish to share with others, so they, too, may have the tools to continuously remember the essence of who they really are.

This is a photo of me with my bestie, Ruth. A few months before Ruth made her passage she asked me, "What is the true essence of who you are? I answered, “I don’t know, what is your true essence?” She answered back to me, “I don’t want to sound egotistical, but I feel my true essence is just love.” My wise, sage friend is the inspiration in my ongoing study and quest to connect with my own true essence, and help others towards this re- remembering of the presence of their true essence. Hint... it's something wonderful!

What Others Are Saying

Though our beautiful sessions together, Susan was able to access deep in my spirit, which changed both my career outlook and my body for the better. She listened to one of my big fears, and through gentle discovery, we were able to uncover the personal passion beneath it- and then, guided into action. She helped me realize that meaningful goals ARE scary, but oh so worthwhile to embrace. And on top of that, she gave me a back stretching program to help me reach my goal, and I still text her pictures of my progress! That is the kind of relationship Susan builds; she combines her deep yoga teaching background with a heart-filled presence to help people heal, on both the spiritual and bodily level. I am so excited about the vision I shared with Susan, and with her guidance, I now feel like I can turn it into a reality. -Tolly Mosley

Susan is an exemplary person and has the best traits you can find in a yoga instructor. She provides encouragement to newer students and challenges the more advanced in an environment that is always comfortable, inviting, and fun. She shows a true joy in her work that easily transfers to her students. She leads with quiet confidence, a surprising physical and unwavering mental strength. -Jake Gengenbach

Before working with Susan, my internal life felt like an un-assembled jigsaw puzzle yet to be complete. Our work together has created a magnetic-like energy within me drawing those scattered pieces together toward being whole. Currently at the Swiss cheese stage on my journey to feeling whole again, I look forward to my sessions with Susan as she travels my journey with me providing compassion, guidance and a conduit to the very real possibilities of healing from within oneself. -RJC

One of my favorite hours each week is the hour I spend in Susan’s yoga class and I can assure you the other students in my class feel the same! Susan brings the gift of a presence of essence that is uniquely her. She has a deep knowledge and background in yoga, deep spiritual intuitiveness, a grounded and delightful personality, as well as a great sense of humor. Susan teaches with intention and encourages us to practice yoga with our own personal intention, and with attention to each yoga pose. She is able to address the individual needs of each student and the group as a whole and make it all fit together in a challenging yet gentle practice. Her classes have a familiar structure, but each class is a fresh experience, with different sequences of poses, perhaps a thoughtful reading or spiritual gift to take away from class. Yes, it’s by far the best hour of the week! -Mary McMahon
